The carnival comes to town!

Mary Rose Carnival is back in town as Mayor Rey T. Uy approved its permit to operate along Tagum’s National Highway (Daang Maharlika) in front of the Gaisano Mall of Tagum.

The carnival also operated in the city last November 2010. Currently, they are offering 13 entertainment rides, namely: Sea Dragon, Cable Car, Bumper Car, Scramble, Swing Carousel, Wall of Death, Telecombat, Cup and Saucer, Ferris Wheel and Fire Brigade.

On October 16, 2012, Chief Inspector Engr. Cleo L. ShiongShu, OIC Building and Safety Division of City Engineer’s Office, together with some personnel from the City Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Business Permit and Licensing Division, City Fire Marshall Bureau and City Electrical Division inspected the rides to ensure its safety and to provide better service for the customers not just from Tagum City but also to the neighboring areas.

Last October 11, they have started their operation with 3 functioning rides and as of today, October 16 after the checkup, another 5 rides will start their operation. Every person can enjoy the rides ranging from P25-50. November 15 is their target date to fully operate the entire carnival rides to the public, said Leofoldo Tan of the Mary Rose Carnival.

The City of Tagum ensures peace and order for the public and even the local government will facilitate garbage collection every day in the site.

The carnival will have its month-long stay until December 5, overlapping the Tagum City’s Fiesta on November 18, which ensures a blessed and enjoyable celebration for everyone.
