The Davao Eagle Online team flew to Cebu in the night of March 21, 2014 to have some fun and adventure. Since we were tired after the trip, we wanted to relax and rest at the very moment we arrived. The hotel staff did not fail us for they were so friendly and hospitable in welcoming us. It was almost ten in the evening, but they greeted us with their sweetest smiles that brightened up our tired faces. The hotel’s ambiance vibrantly set our moods, and front desk agent, Shirley, was very polite at our check in. For us, first impression lasts and we weren’t wrong as we felt the same treatment everywhere. While on our way up to our room the staff who guided us was so courteous, as he made sure we’d get to our room sound and comfortable. The family room was clean, spacious, and very relaxing. There were two double beds memory foam mattress, which were soft and big enough to accommodate four people. The comfort room was also spacious and clean, and the towels were properly folded and placed on the rack. It has hot and cold shower to cater your individual needs. Another thing that sparked our interest was their classy paintings exquisitely attached on the walls of corridors.
The next day we had to wake up early at 3:00 am for a water adventure, and the staff went out of their way to help us get a cab. The front desk agent, Ms. Ray, was very kind in answering our questions regarding the place we planned to go and some information about the hotel. (For those who want to stay there, you will notice that the towel’s print is still “Alba Hotel & Suites;” the hotel’s previous name. They’re still on a transition as they had to change their name because of a nearby hotel namely, “Alba Uno” that led confusions to some travelers. So they changed their name to a more catchy, but classy one). Regardless, we enjoyed every second of our stay, and that’s what matters to us.
We weren’t able to taste their food on a free breakfast since we spent a lot of time outside to visit more places. Their breakfast options include a selection of cooked-to-order menus and some Filipino favorites. They also offer the finest selection of coffee and espresso drinks like mocha, lattes, cappuccinos, house roasts, and some tea favorites at their Café Alba. Upon check out on March 23, they were so generous to offer to keep our luggage because our next hotel reservation was on the 24th. We decided to camp at Danasan Eco Adventure Park; 2 to 3 hours away from the city.
They take care of their guests like everyone’s special, and we felt like we’re VIPs! The only thing that was a little hard for us was the location, which was not that easy to find. But after getting there once, you will surely get familiar with the place and some helpful landmarks such as, Mandaue Foam, Country Club, and Skin First, which can be seen few blocks away from the hotel. We didn’t know they offer airport transfer, but for travelers out there you can contact them for reservation and airport transfer. If you go there on a light traffic, you will probably arrive within 12 minutes from the airport, and less than 20 minutes on a heavy traffic. Like us, you’re looking for a taste of adventure, right?
