Out of 26,690 nursing graduates who took the Nurse Licensure Examination last November 29-30 2014, 15,292 were lucky enough to bag their anticipated “RN” title.
NLE was conducted in various testing centers nationwide: Manila, Baguio City, Laoag, Angeles, Cabanatuan, Cebu, Dagupan, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro (CDO) and Bacolod.
San Pedro College of Davao, considered as one of the best nursing schools in Mindanao, was hailed as the Top 5 Best Performing Nursing School in the Philippines. And also placed 3 Top-notchers in the said examination.
Roger John Necesito Astrolabio led with 85.80% rating at fifth (5th) place. While Irene Mae Mascariñas Hontiveros and Krista Mae Alalong Matira got the tenth (10th) place. Both garnered 84.80%.
SPC is also has one of the most numbers of examinees. Out of the said number 215 passed with the total percentage of 95.98% that is why being a top nursing school was never a question.
The members of the Board of Nursing who gave the licensure examination are Carmencita M. Abaquin, Chairman; Perla G. Po, Gloria B. Arcos, Carmelita C. Divinagracia, Carfredda P. Dumlao, Glenda S. Arquiza and Florence C. Cawaon, Members.
Pursuant to Section 16, of Republic Act No. 9173, “all successful candidates in the examination shall be required to take an oath of professional before the Board or any government official authorized to administer oaths prior to entering upon the nursing practice.”
