From the fascinating yellow tree in Central Mindanao University, we decided to visit Lake Apo.
We hopped on a multicab and we dropped at Crossing Kisanday, Dologon, Maramag. From there, we took a short (Travel time approximately 20 minutes) yet bumpy skylab ride to Sitio Lawa.
I was captivated by the spectacular view of the lake with full of vivid green scenery. It was just as stunning and scenic as what I’ve seen in social media.
The scenic view of the mountains, verdant forests and clean waters of the lake, and with its cool climate will definitely calm your stressed out self.
Wondering ’bout the name? Apo (a Filipino term) means elder or grandparent. According to legend, there was a man living in the mountains who assaulted his granddaughter and was punished by the mountain deities for his disrespectful act by flooding the area forming the Lake Apo.
We spent a few minutes there, enjoying the beautiful picturesque views, relaxing in a floating cottage made of bamboo raft.

Lake Apo is located at Sitio Lawa, Barangay Guinoyoran in the City of Valencia, Bukidnon Province.
