Following the desire of Mayor Allan Rellon, cooperatives in the city are now more organized as the City Cooperative and Development Council (CCDC) comes intro fruition.
On October 7, 2013, the tripartite Memorandum of Agreement was formally inked between the local government of Tagum, the CCDC and the Cooperative Development Authority—considered to be a vital step in a more harmonious relationship between the three parties in promoting the interests of various cooperatives in the city.
Prior to the MOA signing, elected officers took their oath of office before Mayor Rellon. The officers are as follows; Hon. Engr. Agripino Coquila – Chairperson; Mr. Randy Superioridad – Vice Chairperson; Mr. Asterio M. Pilongo – Secretary; Ms. Elizabeth L. Buladaco – Treasurer and Mr. Isidro C. Geocallo – Auditor.
Conciliation and Mediation Committee: Atty. Celestial Gonzales – Chairman; Rev. Antonio Alastra, Jr., and Mr. Charlie Torregoza both are Members. Education and Training Committee: Mr. Randy Superioridad – Chairman; Ms. Delia Cal and Mr. Apol Tabigue both are Members. Audit and Inventory Committee: Mr. Isidro Geocallo – Chairman; Mr. Marion Benito and Mr. Edwin Bernardino both are Members.
Currently, there are about 98 cooperatives in the city, as per data released by the office of Rev. Antonio Alastra, Jr., the LGU’s focal person on cooperatives.
This is also in line with the advocacy of City Mayor Allan L. Rellon, under his EAGLE WINGS, which aims for the convergence of non-government organizations and cooperatives in the city. Gleiza Delgado of CIO Tagum
